About Us

My love for Beagles began in 2002 with the acquisition of my first one, Oliver. Oliver was my first show dog, obedience dog, and hound. He sparked my interest in the world of showing and breeding and I never looked back. While he was a finished Champion, Oliver was not the caliber that I wanted to move forward with for breeding and begin looking for a new strong foundation to start.  When my husband and I were tapped to present CH Just Wright The Full Monty RN to the fancy, I fell in love with the Just Wright Beagles and under the guidance of Julie Wright, Allegro Beagles was formed.   
Our aim at Allegro Beagles is to maintain the breed standard while enhancing temperament, health, and intelligence.  All our dogs are health tested in accordance to the National Beagle CLub's recommended testing.  This includes hips, eyes, heart, thyroid and DNA testing.  
I have worked with rescue since 1997, attend seminars on breeding and training and am always continuing my education on current developments in canine care.  We are members of the National Beagle Club, Del Valle Dog Club of Livermore, Stockton Beagle Club, and the newly formed Hound Association Of Northern California.  
Our Beagles are raised in our house and are part of the family. We do not believe in a kennel situation for my family members.  Puppies are born in a room specifically made for whelping and raising puppies, then moved into the main portion of our house so they can start their lives being exposed to normal day to day life in a family home situation.
